I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review for this book. Almost a decade, in fact. This has consistently been one of my favorite series since I read it, and I like it more than Vampire Academy, maybe because I relate to Sydney more, lol.

A Snake Falls to Earth review
This book takes place in two 'dimensions': earth and the Reflecting World. Earth is pretty much as it is now, but with traces of magic still there. The Reflecting World is kind of like a mirror world to Earth, but filled with animals, monsters, and animal people instead of humans. I liked getting to see both world and learning about the kinds of people and environments that are in the Reflecting World. That world felt very much like a fantasy-adventure where most of the land is wilderness with settlements and only a few cities, so it was cool to get that juxtaposition with earth.
An Enchantment of Ravens review
I literally had zero idea what to expect from this book since, like Winterwood it was a choice between free books and this was something that I knew was YA fantasy and that I knew other people had enjoyed, so I went with it, which ended up being a good decision.
Winterwood review
This story went in a direction that I wasn't entirely expecting. To be fair, I got it as a free book where I could choose from a number of different options and I chose this one without really knowing what it was about, just that it was YA fantasy and other people had positive things to say about it.
Dark and Shallow Lies review
The imagery of this book was very rich. I felt like I was in La Cachette and the bayou with the characters and I enjoyed the weird feeling of impending not-quite-doom doom from multiple sides. The vibe of the town was cool, though I did have some trouble picturing it in my head even with the descriptions.

Authority review
4/5 stars Recommended to people who like: weird stories, speculative fiction, sci-fi, time paradoxes, mindfucks Annihilation review here. I definitely liked Annihilation more than Authority. Control's head was a bit difficult to get into at first since he seemed a lot like a typical man-in-black character. Also, as some other people have pointed out, this … Continue reading Authority review
