The Last Bloodcarver review
The author describes this book as 'science fantasy,' which I think is an apt descriptor. Nhika's powers are within the realm of fantasy, but the way she thinks about her powers is more science, as are the automatons that help run the city.
The Girl with No Reflection review
I absolutely flew through this book, it was so good! It already starts in a really interesting place, with Ying preparing for a wedding to a prince who had her confined to her set of rooms in the palace as soon as she arrived.
The Scarlet Alchemist review
This was not a book that was on my radar but it came as part of a book box subscription and I'm so glad it did! The idea of jewels being altered alchemically to be something the rich can eat to live forever is so interesting and has such layered connotations to it.
Brides of High Hill review

Fathomfolk review
I really liked diving into the world of Fathomfolk. There's a lot of interesting things going on with the people and with the worldbuilding, and I think the different perspectives offer quite interesting views on the whole thing.
